Sometimes we disregard small thing
Simple deeds that are really something
From our own small and simple ways
We’ve brighten other people’s night to day
Inevitable sometimes it seem
To overlook what small things are to him
The way you say your “Hi’s” and “Hello’s”
This will surely bring joy to the face of that young fellow
Maybe the simple ways of doing small deeds
Like helping others who are in need
And the simple ways of showing your support
Are great things that are worth the effort
Please looks seen in your eyes
Can break the barrier that’s cold as ice
While on a stranger’s point of view
It makes his heart forget about being blue
Like those blooming flowers on that blue horizon
As the soaring birds reach the oblivion
Let’s make a big difference
By being happy on this small things presence
Even though they’re that small
Although sometimes we can’t recall
Small things were great and humble
And small deeds were noble and simple
The Author's Note:
We may be busy ranting about our own life’s demise...
We might also ignore the things around us on a busy day...
There were times that you do, simple things that might change someone else’s day or life in a big way.
You might have said, “hey, how’s your day?” to someone who really want to talk to about his not so good experience for the day and talking to someone might make him feel better. In this case you listen even though you don’t pay enough attention or you didn’t even care because you also have your life’s drama but you pretend to be listening and you even ask or give him advice to that person that’s really something nice.
You might also tell someone, “Hey, your dress looks good or nice hair it really suits you”. Being recognized makes someone accepted it makes them feel not so invisible. There were people who feel like they don’t even exist and they just go and pass by unnoticed but instead you make them feel like they belong.
You might also encounter someone who is so down and troubled and might be thinking that existing doesn't count anymore . You might have smiled at them or a gave them a pat on their back or shoulder re-assuring them that “Hey, life would be cruel but someone else’s needs you”. Life might be viewed by others as a survival of the fittest kind of game but we exist to co-exist with each and everyone.
So as you face tomorrow, try to smile, compliment, hug or even converse to someone else. These small and so simple deeds might mean the whole world to someone else’s life and at the end of the day you might also need one and you’ll have lots of smiles, hugs, complements and listeners that are waiting for you...
