What and how it is
To be feel so numb
Doused, wasted and devoured
At times, we take it all in
We drink it up, we have it all
We take another one and then we think we should stop
But we even want more, we ask for more
Soaked and dripping wet
We feel cold but we didn’t care
Because we’re laughing our heart out
We’re singing out loud
Tonight, we wanna feel wasted
Tonight, we don’t even care
What will happen next
Or what the day after would bring?
Everything’s so fast and so blurry
The lights are staring back, looking, glaring
Twisting, sparkling, changing
Hues of colors brightly dancing
Drag us down there
Make us feel numb because we’re still aware
For tonight, we pretend to don’t give a care to the world
Because this time we just wanna know, what it feels like to be wasted –

It’s funny how work becomes a routine; you come in, sit and do your eight to nine-hours and 36 minutes tasks have a break pack it up and tomorrow do the same things all over again. Sometimes doing multi-tasking is not enough to finish your days work; you want to ask me why?
Because here’s the deal, do you work faster, your boss might think that you can do more and accomplish more so here’s like double or triple folds of work load for you. You show your boss you can do this and that thing better or best than others, welcome to the new tasks and responsibilities that your boss thinks that you can do. Efficient work, lots of workload, more output and satisfaction for your boss hence he’ll keep you and burn you out till he exhaust you for the same salary he’s giving you for the last one or two years.
Even traveling becomes tiring and boring; you didn’t recognize the good things that life may bring. You don’t even know that at night there are stars that shine. You don’t even see how beautiful the moon is and how to eat dinner with your whole family and listen to their experiences for the day. If you hear them talking you immediately shut your ears in your head and nod vigorously just to make them stop thinking that you get what they mean.
Even sleeping feels like a luxury that you can only have once in a while, you tend to sleep three to four hours a day just to cope up with your life. You are checking out text messages, checking out friend’s statuses online or having a phone call while eating or doing something before you go to sleep and rest.
In the morning you are waking up to the sound of your alarm clock instead of the ethereal sound of the morning and the warmth of the rising sun as it passes through your window. Then you’ll have your breakfast on the go and do your life’s routine five times a week.
So once in a while you should treat yourself, dine out with friends, and talk about something else aside from work or your problems. Even for just one night keep everything behind, leave them and lock them up or forget about it for awhile and enjoy life. All work and no play will make your life a boring routine.
Ask yourself when was the last time you enjoy and feel wasted and then when you wake up you feel better and looking forward for the next dinner or booze shared with friends and family laughing and talking about everything under the sun non-sense things or not. ENJOY HAVE FUN, LIFE IS SHORT!
